Alexandra Madsen

Senior Audiologist at Cambridge University Hospitals

Alex works with patients in the diagnosis and management of hearing loss, something which involves assessing a patient’s hearing - including the emotional and practical impact on day-to-day life - the fitting of hearing aids and on-going counselling and management plans. Though Alex treats patients of all ages, she has a specialist interest in people living with Dementia.

“I always knew I wanted to be in healthcare: ever since I was young I have had a desire to care for people and make a difference. Working in audiology allows me to combine my passion for communication and care, but still allows me to explore the growing world of technology!”
