Founder and Managing Director at the Mintridge Foundation
After school, Alex volunteered for a sports development organisation before starting university. After realising uni wasn’t for her, Alex worked for Think Pacific in Fiji as an Expedition Leader. As a Sports Intern in a school, Alex gained valuable coaching experience, and decided to take her love of sport and travel into the world of business, working as a Tour Manager for Duke’s Sports Travel. After realising there was a gap between elite sports and youth engagement, Alex started Mintridge in 2015 at the age of just 24. In 2017, she was awarded the Women of the Future Sport Award in recognition for her work with more than 30,000 young people ibn schools and sports clubs across the UK. For Alex, success isn’t about the money you earn or the university you attend – but the impact she has on other people.
“I always say that your dream career doesn’t exist, and that you must create it yourself. My dream is now for my organisation to be accessible to every secondary school in the UK within the next five years.”
