Alice White

Web Editor (Knowledge Communities),

Wellcome Trust

twitter: @HistorianAlice

Being a web editor involves lots of networking and research – to explore what interesting knowledge is out there – and involves lots of writing articles that bring that knowledge to a wider audience. The history of science is filled with fascinating people, and Alice explores their stories in lots of ways – everything from delving into archives of women who first practised medicine, to visiting modern laboratories and the people who work there! Alice’s work involves coding, writing, and travelling the world – something she didn’t necessarily plan for.

“My career has been based more on chance and coincidence than intention – I’ve taken the opportunities to do things I love!”
