Twitter: @Littlestoryco

Mandy has a PhD in Genetics and has enjoyed an amazing career working with DNA for more than 15 years, using DNA to conserve stocks of haddock in the North Sea and to help find out the genetic causes of diseases in patients with neonatal diabetes. She has also worked with Norfolk Police, setting up forensic labs to work on criminal cases and tracing long lost families. Mandy now teaches science and genetics in schools, and has written two books for children that help them to understand DNA and forensic science.

“A career in STEM was always on the cards for me. I just always loved Science more than any other subject and wanted to use it to help people. You could say it was in my DNA – which features as an anagram in my name!”
